Born in Tokyo, Japan, and now based in Montreal, Canada,

I am an emerging ceramic-based artist creating sculptural and wall-based works

that explore transformation through material, time, and process.

My ongoing research, Ceramic Metamorphosis, investigates

how ceramic forms can change through connection, interaction, and the passage of time.

At its current stage, I use weaving as a method to explore new relationships between ceramic, thread, and form.

Through migration and a decade marked by significant changes to my body, I became interested in how our experiences and memories can be understood differently over time. This interest continues to inform my practice, where I explore change through material experimentation and the unexpected relationships and possibilities that emerge through making
